Baby photo phone case

A baby photo phone case keeps the photos people look at most in their hand all day. You can choose one perfect portrait, or show how fast the first year goes with a milestone collage you make first. Either way, a few choices make the case look calm and sharp.

One sharp portrait

Newborn photos are often taken in soft, low light, and tiny faces move. Look for a photo where the eyes, the eyelashes or the little fingers are clearly sharp. A close crop of the face works better on a case than a whole blanket or a whole nursery. If the photo was taken by a photographer, ask for the full-resolution file.

The milestone collage

The case takes one picture, so build the milestone collage first: month one, three, six and twelve, in your phone's photo app. Save it as one picture and upload that. A collage looks best when the photos have similar light and similar framing, for example the same blanket or the same chair each month. Mixed bright and dark photos make the case look patchy.

A soft color around the photo

Zoom the portrait out a little and pick a background color, such as sand, pink or sky. The color frames the photo, and the name sits well on the color below it.

Before you choose: a sharp original

Whatever the subject, the photo has to be sharp at full size. The back of a phone is much larger than a thumbnail, and every soft edge shows. Three quick checks help:

Add the name or the birth date

A first name and a date are the classic finishing touch. Keep the text short, place it on a calm part of a photo, and read the spelling twice, especially for names with an unusual spelling. The case is made with exactly the words in the preview.

Keep faces clear of the camera

The camera opening is cut out of the case. Leave the top of the photo for background, and keep the face in the middle. In a collage you made, put the photo with the most space above the face at the top.

Which case type suits new parents

New parents often have their hands full, and phones get dropped. Tough adds a shock-absorbing liner. Snap and Clear are lighter. Which types you can choose depends on the phone model; choose a phone case material explains the differences.

A gift for new parents or grandparents

A baby case is a thoughtful gift for parents, and even more so for grandparents. Ask which phone they have before you order. If you plan it for a first birthday, make a collage with one photo per season and upload it as one picture.

Make it in three steps

  1. Choose model. Choose the parent's or grandparent's exact phone.
  2. Case type. Tough for busy days, Snap or Clear for a lighter case.
  3. Design. Tap the case to add the photo, drag and zoom until the face sits in the middle, pick a background color, and add the name with Text.

Mistakes to avoid

Ordering and delivery

When the preview looks right, add the case to your cart and pay securely with Stripe, in euros, pounds or dollars. We make and dispatch your case within 2 business days after payment. Delivery then usually takes 5–7 business days within Europe, 5–10 to the United States and up to about 20 to Australia. These are estimates, so leave some room before a birthday or a holiday.

Your case is made for you, so it cannot be returned because the photo, the spelling or the model was wrong. If it arrives damaged or does not match the preview, write to us with the order number and a photo.
